We drove through Jackson Hole to Grand Teton National Park. Before we even entered park boundaries, we were amazed at the beauty of the Grand Teton Mountains. They are arguably the prettiest mountains we’ve ever seen. The Cathedral Group or tallest mountains are absolutely breath taking.
We continued to drive toward the park entrance stopping at various pull outs. I wanted to visit Schwabacher Landing. It was a very clearly marked trail that had a good many people visiting it. One group reported seeing a snake on the trail. I can imagine how tranquil this area would be if you were to visit at sunrise or sunset. The babbling river that lazily flowed in front of the picturesque mountains was incredibly serene. There are a few benches on the trail that can be used to just sit and soak up the natural beauty in front of you.
The background is so amazing, we decided to take a few creative pictures. See our progression of pictures, with the best one at the end. Clearly, we need to work on a few things.
As we continued our drive, we saw our first pronghorn. Then we headed over to Mormon Row and Moulton Barn.
After absorbing all of that beauty, we needed a drink, so we headed back to downtown Jackson Hole and stopped at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. The seats at the bar are saddles. What a fun experience it was to have a drink while sitting in a saddle!
Of course we had to get a picture under the elk antler arch.
That’s all for now. Continue to check back in as we goforth and explore the Jackson Hole rodeo, Jenny Lake, and Delta Lake. You do not want to miss these upcoming pictures. We hiked hard to get those once in a lifetime shots.
